Guidelines
SPIRIT
You are encouraged to discover, exercise and rely on your inner resources. We can all gain by sharing. If you stuffed up, own up to it. We are all human and we all make mistakes. We focus on resolving issues and learning from mistakes, rather than blaming others.
If our guidelines should be against yours, please do not attend our gatherings.
RESPECT
Domus E is a place where many different people come together, open up, and form a community. Have due regard for someone's identity, feelings, wishes and rights. Empathy is encouraged. Simple courtesy is key.
CONSENT
Consenting and asking for consent are all about setting your personal boundaries and respecting those of others — and checking in if things are not clear.
INCLUSIVE
We wholeheartedly welcome and value diversity in all its facets for the richness that it offers. Think and act without prejudice. You are accepted for whom you are, as long as you behave.
OPEN
“Shoshin” is a word from Zen Buddhism meaning "beginner's mind."
It refers to having an attitude of openness, eagerness, and lack of preconceptions.
POSITIVE
A smile accomplishes more than a grumble. Behave towards each other in a spirit of friendship. Support each other when you can.
DIGNITY
Keep things classy and sophisticated - also in 'humiliation’. Don’t let your ego get the better of you. There is no dignity in that.
